My Top 5 Skincare Products
Hi All!
So this post is mainly inspired by me finally getting my first Hydrafacial. I went to Farrah (@facialfixerupperrn on Instagram) and my skin feels amazing! I have very dry, dull skin that often makes my makeup look cakey if I’m not going through my proper skincare routine. After a little chat with Farrah about my skincare routine and finally figuring out what works for me, I thought I’d share some of my favorite products!
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water- I LOVE this for taking off eye makeup on a daily basis. If I’m wearing a full face of makeup it also helps me remove my face makeup before the next step. My skin is more on the dry side so I like to avoid using makeup wipes unless I’m traveling and this really helps to not irritate my skin as much as other products do! I am all about trying new products and very rarely re-purchase products but I find myself reaching for this every time!
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads- So a few years ago I happened to get a gift card from Sephora. wanting to try something new I asked an associate for some skincare recommendations and she brought this out. I’ve been using this on and off ever since. The pads are super convenient since all you have to do is take one out and use it. So it’s great for traveling and helps me make sure my face is as clean as it can be after a long day without drying my skin out!
Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Serum- When I first heard about this product I would often laugh thinking someone would have to be insane to spend so much money on a skincare product. Guess what, I am insane and it’s all thanks to those free samples you get when you order stuff on Sephora’s website. It was a 7 day sample and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t see a huge difference in my skin in those 7 days. It’s helped me tackle dry skin and has gotten rid of a lot of the redness I had on my cheeks as a result of not using the right products. As far as anti- aging I haven’t seen a major difference yet but it has really transformed the texture of my skin as well as my skin tone. I used to be the type of person to have 3-4 different serums I was rotating through but ever since I picked this up I haven’t put it down for anything else.
GrandeLASH MD Lash Enhancing Serum- Again, something I happened to stumble upon, this time in an Ipsy subscription box! I was pretty determined to prove that things like this don’t work but I was completely wrong. After just a couple of weeks I noticed my lashes getting significantly longer and stronger! I’ve never really had long lashes and often depend on lash primers and a ton of mascara but this product has made such a big difference that I don’t think I’ll be putting it down anytime soon
Foreo Luna 2- After going through multiple face brushes, I decided it was time to invest in one good product rather than having to replace my brush or it’s bristles every couple of months. I’ve noticed a significant decrease in random breakouts and it’s effective in getting my makeup off without being too rough on my skin. It’s easy to use with your favorite cleanser and my favorite part is that it’s rechargeable, So no more scrambling to find batteries or having to worry about it dying at the most inconvenient times. Also, the silicone bristles make it super easy to clean and more sanitary than other brushes!
I’m in no way an expert on skincare, and these products may or may not work for you so please use your own judgement or seek advice from a professional if you want to try any of the products above but are unsure of if you should!
